Fleur Earth Live in Concert Stuttgart 1.12.2010

Fleur Earth,
Geboren in der ehemaligen DDR, aufgewachsen im Kongo und heute in Köln zu Hausebeweist Fleur, dass Soul auf Deutsch doch geht.

"Fleur Earth ist Charisma in Reinform"stellte das Musikmagazin "Juice" fest.

...Ihre Texte wirken beim ersten Hören kryptisch und abstrakt, sind aber das Gegenteil von verkopft.
Man muss sie mit dem Herzen hören, um sie zu verstehen. Und wenn Fleur Goethe
als Inspiration heranzieht, ist das durchaus ernst gemeint.

In Abgrenzung zum polierten R&B nennt Fleur ihre Musik "Straßenkötersoul" und "Soul DesCabots" hieß denn auch das Album, das sie 2009 mit ihrer Band dem Fleur Earth Experiment
(FEX) veröffentlicht hat. Mit ihrer ebenso entspannten wie intensiven Melange aus Soul, Reggae, Jazz und Rock, haben sich FEX in den letzten vier Jahren eine breite Fanbase
erspielt.
Parallel dazu hat Fleur zusammen mit ihrem Produzenten Twit One (der bei FEX den Bass bedient) zwei sample-basierte Alben aufgenommen:
"Skurreal" (2008) und "Es Entstehen Wesen" (2009) – die beide von Twits schräg-charmanten Hip-Hop-mit-viel-Soul
Sound geprägt sind.
Fleur Earth, Twit und das Experiment sind dabei nicht allein mit ihrer Vision einer neuen,
gegen den Strich gebürsteten Soulmusik, deren bester Freund Hip-Hop heißt. In Köln gehören der Retrogott, Hulk Hodn und Sylabill Spill zum kreativen Kreis, aus Berlin stoßen
Suff Daddy und Flomega hinzu. Und auch mit US-Künstlern wie Frank Nitty, Miles Bonny
und Declaime hat Fleur schon diverse Songs veröffentlicht.

Each track was creatively reworked and remixed by Lau before being mastered by infamous engineer Shawn Joseph (J Dilla, Pete Rock).
